Sailor Moon S: Sailor Chibi Moon

The outgoing daughter of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Chibi Moon dreams of becoming a beautiful lady one day. She is a perfectionist who prefers to do things alone so she can have her way. As the series progresses, she learns to open herself more, learning what true maturity really is.

I didn’t think anyone could get her hair to look quite that right. But I think I like her red eyes more than anything! Very convincing cosplay, and it even has Konata’s stamp of approval! Great work!

Sailor Moon Musicals: Sailor Uranus, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Neptune

Also known as the “Outer Senshi”, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Pluto, and Sailor Neptune form a secondary group, along with Sailor Saturn. Previously, all of them preferred to work alone, but Sailor Uranus was able to trust Sailor Neptune and Sailor Pluto after fighting along side with them.

Sailor Pluto is known as the Guardian of Time, while Sailor Neptune is the Soldier of Ocean, and Sailor Uranus is the Soldier of the Sky.

I’m not even sure if they are cosplayers or the official cast of the musical, but they are very pretty. Thanks to Soyoungim for the photo!

Sailor Moon: Sailor Venus

The fourth member of the Sailor Senshi discovered by Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus was actually the first to awaken to her powers and serves as the leader of the Guardian Senshi. Artemis, the white cat responsible for reviving Minako to her true self, explains that Venus and Earth are twin planets and she must protect Earth from its enemies. Minako is also the first to know about her old home, the Magellan Castle, orbiting around Venus.

Sailor Moon S: Sailor Neptune 04

Kaio Michiru is the Senshi most associated with the arts, having known skills in playing the violin, swimming, as well as painting. In Sailor Moon S, Michiru appears as temptation for Mamoru, parallel to Haruka appearing as temptation for Usagi. She has never made any advances on Mamoru, but Usagi is still jealous whenever she sees them together.

Blueocean87 makes a beautiful Sailor Neptune in Leipziger Buchmesse / Leipzig Book Fair 2009! It makes me wonder if she’s wearing colored contacts, or of those are her real eyes’ colors. Thanks to cosplay shooter for the awesome photography work and to Weiss for suggesting this!

Sailor Moon: Sailor Moon

A schoolgirl in 20th Century Tokyo, Usagi is a well-intentioned, underachieving crybaby who prefers the life of a normal teenage girl. While fighting the evils of her past life as Sailor Moon, Usagi quickly matures and learns to make decisions for herself, becoming a true princess of the fallen Moon Kingdom.

I know she's Sailor Moon, but I'm a little confused as to which season from the metaseries she's from. Her hairclips make it look like she's from SuperS, but I don’t think the sleeves are right. And gold armbands? I’m really confused. Thanks again to Pikori for sending this, though!

Sailor Moon R: Black Lady

Once Chibiusa returned to the future with Sailor Moon, Wiseman captured her and twisted her memories of her family in order to make her do as he wishes. Lonely and full of guilt, Chibiusa was infected with the Black Crystal and grew older, donning the earrings and crescent of the Black Moon Clan. She went so far as to seduce her future father, Chiba Mamoru, and attempted to destroy the Senshi for their insensitivity towards her.

Korean Cosplay

Chocolime just pimped me this uber awesome Sailor moon Cosplay by this group of Sailor Moon Cosplay team in Korean.

Just awesome O_O. I love how everyone performed so well, almost professional standard no? And everyone looked the part! Lovely slender figures and height accurate! And those fighting moves are so beautifully choreographed and executed! The flips and falls are nicely done too  *_*!!!!!

Just in case you guys have never seen the WCS 2007 Korean team. Here’s a pimp.
They did D’Gray Man and stunned everyone with their martial arts move. I’d easily have placed them in my top 3 list of winners ahaha. But oh wells, me am no judge.

Wooo, have new found respect for korean cosplayers!!!! O_O

Taiwanese Cosplay…… NOT!

If I label these as taiwanese Cosplays I think the Taiwan Cosplayers might arrange an assassination for me hahaa. But that aside, I wanna share this group of videos of a Taiwanese variety show with you guys.

What’s happening here is basically, a group of normal girls who are in some sort of semi-idols competition for the show are requested to cosplay. And then a panel of Otakus are requested to judge them. The winner (the girls I mean), will win a set of cosmetic products.

Honestly, in my opinion, I don’t really want to consider this as ‘cosplays’ because of the lack of love and fandom effort which I have grown so accustomed. But I guess the cruel fact is, anyone donning a costume IS a cosplayer. AT least they bothered to do up the hair and make up. Albeit some of the hair is so *palms forehead*

 

I like Sailor Mars here. Pretty xD. As for the Suzumiya…..she’s a  little too..subdued for my liking =( And don’t get me started on the hair.

But nonetheless, pretty faces yes =)

Wooo the neko girl is pretty IC.

Can any Chinese speaking fan of Code Geass tell me if what the cosplayer/girl said is true? About C.C’s quote that has something to do with snow.

Sailor Stars: Princess Kakyuu

The princess of Kinmoku who escaped to earth when Sailor Galaxia attacked, Princess Kakyuu is said to smell of sweet osmanthus, which is the recurring motif of her design. There are different versions with regards to her storyline in the anime and manga, but she is similar to Sailor Moon as she also has her own senshi, the Sailor Starlights.

The cosplayer looks like a doll in this photo. I’m guessing proper make-up and lighting gave that effect. Beautiful work!

Sailor Stars: Sailor Cosmos

A character that only appeared in the manga, Sailor Cosmos is said to be the ultimate form of Sailor Moon. She comes from the future as an infant named “Chibi-Chibi” to encourage Usagi to defeat Chaos in the final battle. She initially wanted to destroy the Galaxy Cauldron altogether, but Sailor Moon protests when she realized no stars will be born if the Cauldron is destroyed. Sailor Moon’s sacrifice reminded her of the strength and courage she needed, returning to the future with renewed hope.

Beautiful cosplay! I always thought she was far more beautiful than Sailor Moon. Then again, she and Sailor Moon may be one and the same. What do you guys think?

Sailor Moon: Princess Serenity 03

Through 3 different adaptations of the series, Princess Serenity's death has been portrayed in 3 different ways. In the original manga, the young princess commits suicide when Prince Endymion died protecting her during Moon Kingdom's downfall. In the anime, both perished in the attack, while in the live action series, it was the Princess herself that destroyed Moon Kingdom out of grief, as Endymion was killed during the war to keep the two apart.

It doesn't really matter how you're heard her story, I'm pretty sure a lot of people still know Sailor Moon, even after all these years. However, I'm surprised someone is still cosplaying her in Comiket! And such a beutiful dress too. Nice cosplaying!

Sailor Moon: Princess Serenity 02

My apologies for the lack of updates lately. It seems that there have been some hot-linking of images in Cosplay Holic, and I had to change image servers. I'm still in the process of migrating images so it will take up a lot of time.

However, I've also been able to find some beautiful cosplays. This one of Princess Serenity, for example. Her dress is really well made and the materials used are just perfect for the Moon Princess.

Although I must admit, it does lack the sleeve, but nevertheless, still a fitting rival for the previous cosplayer I've posted. Excellent work!

Sailor Moon: Sailor Mars

Hino Rei is a miko or priestess in her grandfather's temple, the Hiwaka shrine. She is the second Sailor Senshi that Sailor Moon found at the beginning of the series when she and Luna were looking for the Moon Princess. She has the ability to control fire and uses various psychic abilities she had learned as part of being a priestess.

Despite her beauty and elegance, Rei has no interest in men. This is due to the fact that Rei had no respectable men in her life, aside from her grandfather. In a short manga story "Casablanca Memories" however, Rei is shown to have a love interest with her father's secretary, Kaidou. He is her father's messenger who would bring her gifts for her birthday which consists of a white dress and a bouquet of Casablanca, her favorite flower.

Beautiful cosplay! Not a lot of people can get Sailor Mars right, but this cosplayer was able to nail it! It makes me wonder if she is actually the actress from the Sailor Moon Live Action Series... Hm...

Sailor Moon S: Sailor Saturn 02

After being reborn thanks to the power of Sailor Moon, Sailor Saturn (aka Tomoe Hotaru) becomes adopted and cared for by Teno Haruka and Kaioh Michiru as well as Meioh Setsuna. As a toddler, Hotaru had a habit of calling Sailor Uranus, "Hakura-papa" even though she is actually female. Similarly, Hotaru called her other two guardians as "Michiru-mama" and "Setsuna-mama".
