More Magna Carta, I can't get over Hyung Tae Kim.


Ryea: Do you make your own costume & props ?
Costumes are usually tailored/modified but my props are made by Jarold and I.
I have awesome friends like Rain, Stick and Jac'kee that always help me out as well.


Ryea: What is your favorite part when cosplay?
Seeing a prop completed, wearing the full costume for the first time and I get very strange satisfaction when it comes to editing photos, I guess it's because I consider it the final touches of my cosplay.


Ryea: Any good/funny/memorable experience when you cosplay?
Persona 4 - waking up at 3am to get ready for a long road to Sekinchan.
C.C. Mutuality - Got to cosplay with the amazing Kanasaii and Lenneth pair. I felt like the luckiest C.C. ;_____;
Deadmaster - Shiroin, my photographer, sunk his leg into a giant pit of mud during the shoot!!!
Gumi/Miki - Vocaloids drowning in the swimming pool is quite a sight.

Ryea: How and what have you think you've improved from since you started cosplay?
Definitely improved in every aspect from prop making to make up and of course *~editing photos~* BEFORE & AFTER

Study, research, work smart, enjoy!


Ryea: Do you think as a 'qualified' cosplayer, it's a must to do everything without the help from professionals ; costume props and others?
If that's the case, a lot of us wouldn't be "qualified" enough to cosplay.
Some people just have strengths on certain aspects while others don't.

1) Which convention do you like most in Malaysia?

2) How much money do you spend on Seth Nightroad.. the outfit is such AMAZING piece!!
Thank you! I spent about RM1.5k, it pales in comparism to the Trinity Blood team that debuted at CF2010 though, that team was AMAZING.

3) What do you do in events?
Meet old friends and new ones. I don't really have much stamina for events though.
I do better in photoshoots.

Because 2010 was such a wonderful Cosplay year for me, I decided to compile a list of the cosplay related stuffs I did this year. I know it's not the usual 'Costume portfolio' thing that other people do because I added 34394396482 other nonsense stuffs.

But that's really because each event/shoot meant something to me even if I was just a helper/spectator. It meant a day of my life spent with that specific group of people and getting to know each other.

You would notice I didn't have much costumes but more of event coverage, shoot helper and competitions. Yeah, I prefer to have fun enjoying cosplays than rush costumes hahah . Am lazy, yes.

DIY: Make a Brush cap!

Hey guys! A new tutorial video of sort! I know it's not directly Cosplay related but let's just say no self respectful female cosplayer can go without makeup. So I guess they still link up yeah xD?

In this video, I share with you guys how I create a make up brush cap to protect my eyeshadow brushes =)

THINGS YOU NEED

1. Scissor
2. Candle & fire
3. Big round straws (the kind Asians use to drink bubble tea)
4. Some heat resistent thing like tweezers or ruler to help you clasp and hold your cap down

Final Fantasy Versus XIII: Noctis Lucis Caelum 03

Noctis can wield different weapons ranging from swords, spears, lances, to guns. He controls them using telekinesis though the power of the Crystal for both attack and defense. Noctis also has the ability to teleport and move at high speed.

The 14-year-old, manipulative princess of the Fire Nation, Azula is a Firebending prodigy and one of the few living Firebenders capable of casting lightning. She is Zuko’s younger sister and is loyal only to her father, Fire Lord Ozai. She uses fear to control her relatives and friends but even though everyone admired her when she was young, her mother favored her older brother over her.

A beautiful display of Firebending without actual fire by *risachantag! According to her description, she used “Flowlights”, a bright LED glow poi for her fire. She won best solo skit during Manifest 2010. Thanks to Rivalry for suggesting this!

Soul came from an extremely rich family of musicians. He had an older brother called Wes, a violinist, whom he suffered an inferiority complex to, and although he himself had a talent for playing the piano, he was reluctant to exhibit this talent because he constantly knew that Wes was better than him. After finding out that he was a Demon Weapon however, he found that he was able to escape from his family tradition as musicians and strive to become a Death Scythe instead. Evidence seems to show that he was the first Demon Weapon in the Evans family.
One day while playing the piano he was approached by Maka Albarn who had previously witnessed his ability to turn into a scythe. She asked him to become her partner and Weapon as her dream was to make a Death Scythe for Shinigami-sama; emphasizing on the word scythe, and as such had denied every possible Weapon put in front of her at DWMA. Maka also stated Soul had felt like the first person she could trust, furthermore, performing as Weapon and Meister should be figuratively easier. Soul accepted the agreement with the words 'Sure, sounds cool.' From that point on the two worked together, gathering Kishin Eggs prior to the beginning of the main story.

Soul seems to prefer to forget his past life as a musician, as he dislikes being called by his full name, including his last name, 'Evans.'

Vampire Knight: Kiryuu Zero 07

Zero is very hostile towards the Night Class because of his deep hatred towards all vampires, especially to purebloods who have changed his life forever. He can be very tsundere, meaning cold and distant in the beginning but eventually warming up to people. Despite his anger, his sense of duty overrides his issues, ensuring his reliability and trustworthiness.

Cosplayer Amore of DreamS TraderS makes quite an interesting Zero, especially this photo with plushie Kaname! Looks like she owns a lot of plushies actually; can anyone name them all?

Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle: Ashura-o

The King of Shura Country, Ashura-o is in constant war with the Yasha clan over the possession of a mysterious castle said to fulfill its master’s every wish. It was later revealed that Ashura-o was in love with Yasha-o and Ashura-o wished to resurrect him from the dead. He died in the castle as it crumbled around him unable to fulfill his wish. However, what the castle could not do, Yuuko was able to grant; she made Ashura-o and Yasha-o gods to their clans, allowing them to be together.

Beautiful cosplay by ~Syszeii! It’s pretty embarrassing that I made a mistake with which Ashura-o this was. It’s a good thing St. Arcana, Syaza, Meg, and Rae made the effort to correct me and gave me more information about this Ashura. Thanks again to Tori for sending this in!

Comic Fiesta 2010 (Day 2)

Comic Fiesta day 2 photo pimps!
I’m sorry I didn’t managed to have as much photos as I should because my camera battery decided to die on me so it got very difficult to take photos T_T. In the end I had to resort to using my Mobile phone. There were so much eye candy, I really wanted to stab myself for not bringing my battery charger along (lazy) oTL.
An as my return coach was 7pm, I didn't find it wise to cosplay. So I was in plain clothes on Sunday and was definitely surprised when people recognise me O_O. Much thanks to all who said hi and please continue to support TCC  ^_^!

 

We took the Monorail to the event hall on day2 and experienced the insane Malaysian public transport culture.
There were a lot of teenagers in t-shirts like these. With prints on their collars and the collars turned up.

 

Dragon Ball! I love old school cosplays even though I'm not a fan of the series. Cha-la-head-cha-la!

Yes awesome wings O_O. It was so big she had difficulties just walking and needed 2 minders to help. Sadly, these are the only photos I have of her awesomeness=_=

SUPER CUTE Gintama Okita! Okita and chibi Okita! They were blood sisters so its easy to understand why they look SO ALIKE.

 

The best freaking Radu I've ever seen. We met him while waiting for the lift and it was SUPER crowded. The costume was VERY well done and he looked really good *_* Bishie face with awesome makeup. Photo don't do him justice at all =(

And this ends my photo collection from Day2. There were so much more awesome cosplayers but my dying battery life really stopped me from taking photos of them T_T. SHall remember to bring extra batteries next time!

Spent the rest of the afternoon shopping at Sungei Wang Plaza with Faizul, Maria, Peggy, Zephyus and ZY before we rushed off for our coach.

To sum my entire CF trip up, the event area was really cool with many side rooms/alleys and at a very strategic prime location. I would say, having the event at such a prime location definitely helped foreigners like myself in planning our trip and better encourage travelling down.  But I guess the turn out of the event this year probably far exceeded the organiser's expectation. And in turn, yes, the event area was VERY cramped.
Also, I think Malaysia have prettier girls and bishi-er (Handsome) guys than Singapore =( . Any non-Malaysian on this with me?
p/s: They also have a lot of pretty...em  boys. *points to 2nd pic*
